My name is David, and this is my website.
I guess you might have figured that out already, considering my name’s plastered all over the top of the site and all. Over to the right there’s a little picture of me so you can fully picture things whilst you’re reading this, although I must note that while writing I typically look a lot more stern and thoughtful (which is often mistaken for confused).
This website is my place to put things, and also a place to bring together some of the things I do that are scattered across the internet. You know, instagrams of cats, tweets about slow public transport, new tracks that I think make me look to cool to like. That sort of thing.
I’m currently the VP Global Marketing Strategy for Kobalt Label Services, overseeing the marketing strategy for a range of different artists including Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Pet Shop Boys, Karen O, Nicolas Jaar, Lenny Kravitz, Deadmau5, The Strokes and a whole bunch more.
Previous to that I was the Head of Marketing for Beggars Group Records, where amongst other things I worked on the marketing campaigns for artists like Adele, Radiohead, The xx, The National, Bon Iver, The Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Sonic Youth and The White Stripes.
I’ve also moonlighted occasionally as a photographer, and had photos published in the NME, The Guardian, The Sun, News of the World, Clash Magazine, London Lite and also in the booklets of albums by Adele, The Big Pink and The Veils.
